Tracked down this hidden basement store through the Superfuture app on my Iphone. Have been a fan of it's creator, KAWS, ever since his "ad disruptions" in the mid 90's where he appropriated bus shelter ads with his cartoon skull and crossbones motif. The cartoon anatomical figurine that greets you at the entrance is one of only two and cost $160,000.00.
Always good to see a new Melbournian coming up through the ranks. Hailing from Bendigo, the home of the gold rush in the 1850's her name surely suits a rise to the top.
This French styled bakery on the outskirts of Shibuya imports their flour directly from the motherland. They even mix 50% Contrex mineral water into the baguette receipe. I liked the bread. If you know me, that's a gold star reccomendation! Their version of the Croque Monsieur from the downstairs bakery was easily the best I've tasted.
Have waited a long time for this little ripper. My assistant and operator will be the happiest though as they won't have to listen to me speculating about all the rumours!
The Impossible Project, an effort by a bunch of scientific Polaroid fans seems to be having some success. Their polaroid products were stocked in several stores around Tokyo and were selling well by all reports from the store's staff. I bought some so I'll give it a go over the next few weeks.

Love this picture. Shot it on the Fiji x100 held at my waist to try to capture the scene inconspicuously. The chef finally caught on and sent the waiter out to ask me to move on. Shot at F2, shows how good the focus is on the Fuji in low light. Nice.

Vladimir was a funny guy. Very proud of himself for recognising that we were shooting a Russian girl at the hotel. He was a charmer, cracking her up in their native tongue. Didn't have to twist his arm to get this shot!
This general store has is all! Spread over 24 levels of product mayhem, if you can think of it they probably have it. With 5 other better options. Think Bunnings, Eckersley's, Spotlight, Mitre 10, Deans Art, Recce's Plumbing all rolled into one and then multiply it by ten! Could have spent the whole day there.
Got up at 430am to check out the action at the tuna auctions. Mostly a touristy excursion but the sushi breakfast afterwards made the early start well worth the effort.

Nike AIR capsules reappropriated.
Spent an hour with Rari Shinbo in the Nike ID lab constructing a shoe. If you are even slightly a fan of the sneaker it's something you should treat yourself to one day. Good times.

Love the series of pics I shot here, but missed the shot of the day. There was a gardener watering the scorched grass dressed in overalls with a long red hose that wormed its way around the picnic tables. He wasn't into being snapped at all and kept the game of cat and mouse going for a good ten minutes. Never got the mouse.
Shot some 665 the other day. I've got a stash of the discontinued stock and bring it out on special occasions. I miss throwing these in the bin.
Not too sure if this nona was overjoyed with our arrival at her peaceful pebble covered cove but by the time we left we were mates! We were shooting there just before the European summer rush so the coast was fairly quiet. She was amazed at the computer/camera connection an how the images appeared on the screen instantly.

Came across this 80's pinnie arcade in downtown LA. Found Hector out the back at the pool table hangout. He was a little shy and didn't really understand my Aussie English but we managed this portrait!
