The Bottle Opener. Shanghai.

Tallest building in Shanghai on the Pudong side of the river. Colloquially known as the Bottle Opener by the locals. Soon to be out reached by the building on the left below. It will supersede the Opener by 50 meters.

Massive population gets mobile on this labyrinth of concrete ribbons.

This was an amazing body of work by Taryn Simon. The pictures drew me in first but then too read the accompanying stories made them even more powerful. A beautiful striking show.

This was our prop car for a recent shoot in Beverly Hills. SO beautifully made and crafted in the 60's. It lives in a showroom.

My favourite LA lunch spot.

Dinner laughs in LA with Dr Geek and Shultzy, the best ever producer in the land! Give Dr Geek a name or subject and he'll give to a rap to remember!

Tane finishing up at the end of our day at Spring. Seems like we are always the last to leave because of backing up and editing. Could be worse I guess!

Some of the most beautiful studios I've worked in. Amazing warehouse conversions with unique wooden floors intact. Construction has started on the NYC sister studios. Due for completion in February.

On the street. Could walk for days in the big apple and still find some aspect that I love every minute!
Best coffee I had on Manhattan Island was from Olives. Reminded me of home. Nice. Sandwiches were pretty good as well. Taking second prize in the coffee comp was La Colombe, nice fit out. Went to the one on Lafaette, think there's a bigger one somewhere else.

Best dish of the trip was hands down this little anchovie treat! From the oyster bar attached to the ACE Hotel on W29th Street.

Summer Camp for adults. The drive out from Manhattan took about 2.5 hours but was well worth the effort. The drive along the East 27 takes you through the famous Hamptons which are about as picturesque as you can get!

Checked out the headquarters of the project this week in New York. Part gallery, part Polaroid store. Packed with Polaroid cameras, films and gadgets this is a Polaroid fans heaven. There's even talk of an 8x10 film in the works. Take the stairs up, the elevator there is the slowest in Manhattan!

This relative new comer serves up honest Jamaican flavours. Don't miss the goat curry or the steamed fish. It's on the corner of W Houston and OSullivan in the West Village.
Last time I was here I went with my Grandpa. Similar day, bit more rain. Still great memories. Back there tomorrow to shoot.

Daughter to two doctors this little Melbounre gem is a knockout! Beauty and the brains. She's signed to Elite in Paris. Goodbye!
