Not your typical snap from the North Shore of Hawaii's biggest Island but I like it.
During the job here we stayed at a house on the North Shore instead of one of the big hotels in Waikiki like we usually would. It was a beautiful spot and we definitely got to see the other low-fi side of the island. It was a gold mine for the blog! Had some amazing meals too which I'll put up soon.

This tower held the record for tallest in the world for 6 years. Taipei 101 was rocked by an earthquake during it's construction sending cranes smashing to the ground. This is the view from the Shangri La.

Shot Lia yesterday. Drove nearly 4 hours to the location after finishing another job so we could shoot the first light the next morning. Was worth it! Lia was great, the location was amazing. She's here from Russia and with Chic here in Sydney.
This is the view from the top of the Toboggan Slide. It's a welcome sight after walking to the wall from the car park. Steep. Stepped. Humid.

The Pontoon he's staining on was specially constructed for the job. It was about the size of an olympic swimming pool.
This kids older brother had it all worked out. While he sat on top of the rock he had the kid pictured throw up stones to him so he could take pot shots into the ocean. One out of five came tumbling back down which proved quite entertaining for us while we shot next to them.
Our captain Rocco sailed us out of the cloud that clung to the mainland to a sun drenched corner of Capri to sighs of relief. We had to leave the Amalfi Marina with fingers crossed as it was our weather day.

I've had 13,000 odd lunches in my life and the feast I had sitting at this table slots into my top 5 ever. The setting is beautiful, it's snuggled into a little bay along the Amalfi coast half way between Postiano and Ravello. The food was a sensation! Anitpasto to start, no selecting, they just bring the best. Try the Zuccini Flower pasta and the Salt roasted whole fish. Everyone smiles there. So will you.
This is Giuseppe. The drinks on his tray went down a treatl! We had been traveling for 35 hours and an afternoon of location searching to get to this picture from Bondi Beach. Served with Sicilian Olives, Peanuts and Pistachios as the sun went down. Magic.

I've been talking about it for years and I finally made it. It's one of Positano's premiere hotels. It has an elevator shaft carved out of the volcanic rock which reveals the, 'beach club', 80 meters below. Try the Elephant Milk when you're there taking in the view!
